Details:
The Japanese
Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC) has
openings for two (2) full-time entry-level/training Associate
positions. These positions are designed for recent college graduates
interested in a career working in a community non-profit agency. Aside
from a full-time salary and a generous benefits package, the Associates
will participate in monthly professional development training courses.
The positions are based on a 12 month commitment with an opportunity to
extend the position into a permanent full-time career.
We are looking for young, energetic, creative individuals who are
interested in learning more about community based non-profit work and
the Japanese American community, as well as create opportunities for
leadership development while giving back to the community.
The positions are as follows:
Membership Associate: Under supervision of the Director of Finance and
Database Systems, the Membership Associate will be responsible for
providing administrative support to the Membership Department, which
may include but is not limited to: training and maintenance of our
membership database; learning skills to effectively implement the
membership renewal process; professionally develop by creating and
implementing marketing campaigns to promote and retain membership;
learning and assisting in research and design of new and innovative
membership programs and benefits; developing skills to manage member
recognition programs and perform other duties as assigned.
Development
Associate: Under supervision of the Director of Development, the
Development Associate will be responsible for providing administrative
support to the Development Department, which may include but is not
limited to: learning and assisting in the planning and implementation
of all fundraising drives/events/programs – which may include
organizing meetings, mailings, outreach and/or marketing; learning
about graphic design and the development of promotional and
informational newsletters and brochures; learning the in and out's of
effective grant research and writing; developing skills for corporate
solicitation and perform other duties as assigned.
